KHNL aka channel 13 was created in July 1962, around fifty-six years ago. It is NBC affiliates channel since 1996, and Raycom Media owns it. Its sibling KFVE: Channel 9 and KGMB: Channel 5 with MyNetworkTV and CBS (through shared agreement of services) respectively. The facilities and studios of all the three sisters are on Waiakamilo Road in downtown Honolulu. Its transmitter is situated in Akupu, Hawaii. You can assess it on Hawaiian Telecom and Oceanic Spectrum on Channel 8, and if you are a cable user, then you can get it on Channel 13.

KHNL same like all the other main stations own broadcast
relay station all over the Islands to telecast the content remote to the
metropolitan Honolulu. KOGG and KHBC-TV are licensed in Wailuku and Hilo

On 5 May 1957, Kaiser Broadcasting started its first channel: KHVH in Hawaii; it is also counted as the first station to telecast the colour transmission in the Hawaii state. It was known to be a movie channel at that time. The station aired a maiden show, Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (a war movie). With the Courtesy of Warner Bros and MGM, the station as soon recognized as movie channel which also telecasts cartoons from the animation library of WB and Encyclopedia Britannica’s original films. However in 1959, due to the lack of programming, they terminated the channel. In 1958, they merged their operations with KULA-TV and assigned call-letters to KULA which they used until 1973.
Every week KHNL telecasts localized newscast. In the list of syndicated shows, there is The Doctors, Modern Family, Right this Minute and CSI: Miami.
