WBBT FM 107.3 is known as non-commercial public radio station; its calls mean B Beat. The station hit the waves for the first time in 1999. It used call letters WXNC in 1999. The service which is located in Powhatan, city of Virginia covers the area of greater Richmond. Offices and studios are situated on Sesame Street in Richmond. It comes live with a brand name, WCVE Music. The network is owned by Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation along with its sibling networks; WCVE-FM, WWLB. 107.3 MHz frequency is being used by the station to telecast eclectic music format. 

WBBT-FM started to broadcast on 21 June 1999 as WXNC. It telecasted format of oldies music by using the slogan “107.3 The Beat, Richmond’s Dancin’ Oldies”. The calls were shifted by the network from WXNC to WBBT-FM on 6 August. Later, the station itself shifted to Dance Hits 107.3 in November 2000. In December 2005, after five years, Main Line Broadcasting which is situated in Philadelphia purchased WARV and WBBT along with sibling network WLFV. On Sep 2007, the channel switched from Dance Hits 107.3 to 107.3 BBT. 

L&L broadcasting purchased Richmond stations on 1 July 2014 from Main Line Broadcasting. The format 1980s hits were adopted by WBBT on 22 March 2017. The channel was merely focusing on music before 2017. The matches of Richmond basketball games and Spiders football games were also included in the transmission of WBBT in the season of 2016 -17. The channel starts its programming at 9 am in the morning, which ends at 5 pm. WBBT goes live from Mon to Fri. It focuses primarily on eclectic and classical music. Jazz show is managed by Peter Solomon, which amuses the audience with Jazz music. Mike Goldberg presents breakfast Classics. The World Music Show is hosted by Ian Stewart.
