How to open new Demat Account at Fyers?

It is super easy to open a Trading or Demat or both accounts at Fyers. This process can be completed online in just 10 minutes! I will show you step by step account opening process along with screenshots for better understanding.

Lets have a quick look at the charges:

  • Account Opening and AMC: Account Opening is completely free. AMC charge is Rs 400 yearly.
  • Brokerage Plan: Delivery orders are completely free. For rest all kind of orders, you pay 0.01% or Rs 20 whichever is lower.

First arrange scanned copies of these documents:

  1. PAN Card (Identity Proof)
  2. Aadhaar Card (Address Proof)
  3. Cancelled Cheque/ Bank Passbook First Page (Bank Proof)
  4. 6 Months Bank Statement
  5. Signature on a piece of paper
  6. Passport Size Photo

Now lets go ahead and open the account online:

1.Click here to go to the account opening page: Open an account with FYERS

A page like this will appear.

Fill up your Name, Email, Mobile Number and click on Proceed.

2. A new page like this will appear.

Here again you will have to fill up your Mobile Number, Email, Full Name (NOTE: Enter the same details you had given on previous page. On the two SELECT Drop-down boxes beside Mobile No and Email, choose SELF.

3. Then click on GENERATE OTP. An OTP will be sent your email id and mobile number (NOTE: Same OTP will go to email & mobile. You can look from any of the two.

Enter the OTP in “Enter OTP” box and click on SUBMIT.

4. A page like this will open where will you will have to fill identity details.

You will have to enter your PAN Card No and Date of Birth. In SELECT box, choose “FILL FORM MANUALLY” as shown in image below.

There is no need to click on VIEW KRA DATA. Simply click on SAVE AND CONTINUE.

5. In next page you will have to fill your personal details.

Your name will be pre-filled from earlier details. Choose your salutation (Mr/Mrs/Ms) from the drop down box on left hand side your name. Choose your Gender(Male/Female) and Marital Status(Single/Married). You will also have to enter your Father’s/Spouse’s Name and Mother’s Name along with salutation on the left hand side drop down box.Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

6. In next page you will have to enter your correspondence address.

In address type drop-down box, select RESIDENTIAL. Enter House No, Road Name and Taluka. As soon as you enter Pin-code; City, District, State Name will be filled automatically. Enter these details as per your Aadhaar card.

Tick Yes for “My permanent address is same as the above”. Otherwise you will have to upload separate address proof for that later on.

Telephone No- Office/Residence are optional and can be kept blank.

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

7. A page like this will open.

If you had ticked Yes for “My permanent address is same as the above” in previous page, then the boxes will appear auto-filled. You have to fill nothing.

If you had ticked No for “My permanent address is same as the above” in previous page, then you will have to enter your permanent address details.

Tick No for “Are you a tax resident of any country other than India”.

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

8. Next page will show to activate segments.

All segments (Eg Equity, Equity Derivatives etc) will be auto-selected. I advise you to keep it like that only.

Select Digital for “How do you wish to receive contract note”. This will ensure every future transaction details will me sent to your email.

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

9. Next page will appear like this.

I suggest you to select No for “Do you have any existing Demat A/c” to open a fresh Demat Account. Otherwise you can select Yes and enter details of your existing Demat Account. (NOTE: You will have to upload valid proof later if you select Yes

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

10. In next page you will have to enter your bank details.

Enter your IFSC Code, MICR Code, Bank Name, Branch Name, Branch Address (ie City/Village Name where bank is located) and SB(Savings Bank) A/c No. (NOTE: If MICR Code is not written in your Cheque Book/Pass-book, you can simply search it from internet by giving your bank and branch name details

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

11. Next page will appear like this.

Here in drop down boxes you will have to select your Occupation, Education and Income Details. In Trading Experience write the number of years of experience that you have in trading. Otherwise enter 0. In last drop-down box, select NONE.

A sample filled page is shown below.

Tick on “I confirm to have read and understood the contents of the…..” and then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

12. In next page you will have to upload scanned copy of your documents.

Upload the scanned copies in pdf/jgp/png format(NOTE: For Photograph, only jpg format is allowed. In cancelled cheque, you can upload first page of your Pass-book only if MICR Code is mentioned. In correspondence address, first select the type of proof you are uploading (Choose AADHAAR CARD) and then upload the document. You won’t have to upload any document for Permanent Address Proof if you had selected Permanent Address same as Correspondence Address in Step 6. Similarly in Existing Demat A/c Proof, you won’t have to upload anything if you had selected No for “Do you have any existing Demat A/c”in Step 9. For Primary Bank Proof / Financial documents, select BANK STATEMENT (OF LATEST 6 MONTHS) from drop down menu and then upload the document. In Other Documents, there is no need to upload anything.

Then click on SAVE & CONTINUE.

13. In next page you will be shown your brokerage plan.

Tick on “I accept the terms and conditions” and the click SUBMIT.

14. In next page a pop-up like this(shown in image below) will appear where it will state that they will send the documents to your email for e-signing. Click on OK.

Then click on DOWNLOAD UNSIGNED PDF.

15. Your filled document will appear like this. Do save this pdf document.

16. If your Aadhar Card does not have a mobile no linked to it, you will not able to e-sign the document that will be sen to you by email. In that case you need to manually sign the document that you downloaded in previous step. You need to sign wherever it is written sign here. It will appear like this.

You need to sign everywhere where you find this sign and the send the document to address that will be mentioned in the mail of e-sign document.

If your Aadhaar Card has a mobile no linked to it, then you do not have do this step.

17. This step is for those who wish to e-sign and have their Aadhaar Card linked with mobile.

You will receive a mail like this from Fyers.

Click on E-Sign Now.

18. You will be redirected to a page like this.

You details will be pre-filled. Tick on “I authorize Fyers Securities to eSign my…” an then click on E-SIGN.

19. A pop-up window like this will appear.

You will have to enter the security code that you will receive in your mobile. Then click on Submit.

20. Next page will appear like this.

Tick on “I agree to do eKYC to eSign….” and then click on Proceed to e-Sign.

21. Next you will be shown a page like this.

Enter your Aadhaar No and tick on “I hereby authorize NSDL….”. Then click on Request OTP. You will receive OTP in your mobile. Enter that OTP and then click on Submit.

22. A page like this will open.

Click on Sign Now.

23. You will be again redirected to the same NSDL Page as that in Step 21. You will have to again enter Aadhaar No and then verify OTP.

You will be finally redirected to the original page.

Tick on “I authorize Fyers Securities to eSign my…” an then click on DOWNLOAD FILE. (NOTE: Don’t again click on E-SIGN here. Otherwise you will be redirected to Step 19

24. You will receive a mail like this from Fyers.

Click on Download and take a print-out of the Nomination & PoA Forms that you will see after clicking on download. Nomination form is required to mention your nominee in case of any unfortunate event. PoA form is necessary if you want to sell shares that you had purchased in delivery mode. After signing these forms, send them to the address mentioned in the mail.

Thats it!

You will receive your login details in 24 hrs.

So go ahead & open your account at Fyers.
